Mayor Diego Rivera, in behalf of the city of Calbayog, donated additional motorcycle units this week to the Calbayog Police Station and the PDEA, last July 22, 2021 to aid in their patrol activities and other operations in Calbayog City.

Four (4) units of Honda XR motorcycles were turned over to the local PNP, while one (1) unit was turned over to PDEA.

This is in line with the city’s continued operations against illegal drugs and various criminal activities in the city. Just last week, four (4) new police patrol vehicles were turned over to PNP Calbayog to add to their fleet of patrol vehicles.

The city of Calbayog is resolved in its commitment to halt the proliferation of the sale and use of illegal drugs, and the decrease of criminal activities in the city. The LGU hopes the newly turned over units can help with increasing police visibility and responsiveness, and supplement their lack of manpower.

The city has requested additional personnel from the province but no additional manpower has yet been given.
