The Calbayog City Proper Motorized Tricycle Operators and Drivers Association (CCPMTODA) met with Mayor Diego Rivera last July 1, 2021 to relay their difficulties brought about by COVID-19. The pandemic continues to be a harsh challenge to many of the residents of Calbayog, with many folks increasingly unable to sustain their livelihood to support their families. The local government of Calbayog is determined to extend a helping hand during these trying times.

During the meeting, Mayor Rivera was quick to approve the release of funds for financial assistance worth One Hundred Thousand Pesos (P100,000) for the drivers under CCPMTODA. The City Mayor’s Office stands by its commitment to always be open to the needs of the citizens of Calbayog, especially while the new restrictions are in place due to the recent surge of COVID-19 cases in the city.
