March 2, 2022 – During a meeting with members of the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) Region 8 headed by Dir. Gualberto N. Gualberto, the local government of Calbayog represented by Mayor Diego Rivera has reached an agreement to establish an impound lot in Brgy. Gadgaran, Calbayog City. The contract was signed by Mayor Rivera on March 2, with plans to start operations later this year.

The LGU has been vocal in its push to invite more national agencies to establish offices in Calbayog, with the goal of making it easier for all Calbayognons to access government services without the need to travel far.

Late last year, a previous agreement was established with Professional Regulation Commission to set up a satellite office at the Government Center Building located in Brgy. Rawis. Although the planned operation of the satellite office has been delayed due to the challenges brought about by COVID19, the LGU is hopeful that the agency would be able to start its operations soon.

Providing accessible, reliable, and consistent services for all Calbayognons remain the foremost priority for the local government of Calbayog. Padayon an pag-uswag san Calbayog!
